We believe that informed parental support is the key to academic success. Because of this we use a combination of traditional Parents' Evenings where students and parents can meet subject teachers with an Academic review Day once a year where parents can have an individual appointment with Form Tutors to gain an overview of their child’s progress and be involved in the setting of targets for improvement.

Full academic written reports are issued annually with two further progress reports which detail students’ progress, behaviour and effort, so parents can effectively monitor progress throughout the year. Through our Virtual Learning Environment and Home School Link, both parents and students can access a wide range of support materials and information from home at any time.

Parents have a strong elected presence on the Governing Body, and are encouraged to feed back their opinions on a regular basis through questionnaires. Our Vice Principal also holds monthly afternoon ‘drop-in’ sessions to enable parents, carers or members of the wider community to call in an chat about a wide range of issues.
