Religious Education at TVA, encourages pupils to explore the meaning and purpose of life, issues of right and wrong, belief about God, and what it means to be human. It develops pupils’ knowledge and understanding of Christianity and other principle religious traditions. It offers opportunities for personal reflection and spiritual development.
Pupils learn from different religions, beliefs, values and traditions while exploring their own beliefs. They are challenged to reflect on, consider, analyse, interpret and evaluate issues of truth, belief, faith and ethics and to communicate their responses.
Pupils are encouraged to develop their sense of identity and belonging. Religious Education at TVA enables them to flourish as citizens in a multicultural society. It plays an important role in preparing pupils for adult life, employment and life-long learning. It enables them to develop respect for and sensitivity to the beliefs of others and helps to combat prejudice.
Our well resourced RE dept has a team of dynamic dedicated specialist teachers. We follow the Lincolnshire Agreed Syllabus for RE.
