The Academy presents an opportunity for students to be taught in 10 state-of-the-art, ICT-rich laboratories, by dedicated and talented teachers. There will be a strong emphasis on practical laboratory experience and pupil research skills in all of the courses followed.

The Science department is fully committed to student achievement and looks forward to supporting students through their education at the Academy and ensuring that their examination results are ones they can be proud of. Homework is an integral part of the curriculum and will be set once a week for all groups.

The department is supported by an academic coach who will be used to make sure that all students have extra help if required.

In an society where scientific literacy is becoming increasingly more important we should provide students with the skills that will enable them to critically evaluate scientific advances on their life.
